Nike Mercurial Vapor Rosa Update

We posted yesterday about the Nike Mercurial Vapor Berry, but after a bit more searching it seems like Nike are actually calling these boots by a different name, namely Nike Mercurial Vapor Rosa.

These new boots will be worn this coming weekend by some of Europe’s most exciting players including Franck Ribery and Andrei Arshavin. Nike have also released a promo advert which we’ve put below - we hope you enjoy it!

Available for Pre-order now from Kitbag with a release date of 24th November and a price of £119.99, if you want to make sure you don’t miss out on these limited edition boots, click here to pre-order.

Nike Mercurial Vapor Berry

We’re not sure why there is a lot of fuss surrounding Nike’s new Mercurial Vapor Berry football boots, but Soccer AM were getting very excited on Saturday morning without being able to show the finished product.

However, a couple of days later, Football Bootroom can show what these Mercurial Vapor Berry look like, and it is rather pink! It is essentially a limited edition run of the Cristiano Ronaldo and Robinho worn Nike Mercurial Vapor’s, just in pink (or as Nike put it, “Berry”). The image below might look a bit “redder” depending on your screen, but these are seriously pink!

The Mercurial Vapor boots are hardly the football boots for the shrinking violet of the football field, so to wear a pair of boots in pink probably won’t affect the players with the confidence to wear them, but expect a bit of good natured ribbing from your team mates none the less!

Inflatable Football Goal

How about this for a Christmas present with a difference! ‘Jumpers for Goalposts’ is all well and good for the odd occasion, but there is endless scope for disputed goals. What you want is a proper goal, but one you can carry around with you to the park or into the back garden. That isn’t easy with most football goals available, but it is with the inflatable football goal! This goal will inflate easily allowing you to simply take it out of its supplied bag and have it up and running within minutes. No more disputed goals for you!

The fact that you can deflate it just as easy as you inflated it means that it is easy to remove to keep your garden clean and tidy when the football is over, so you don’t have a big ugly football goal whenever you look out of your back window!

The one shown below is 8′ x 5′, and it comes with the net attached as well all for the price of £129.99. This is a perfect present for either the budding professional footballer, or just to stop so many arguments when having a kick around with your mates! There are also options for larger goals if you need a bigger one!

Mitre Footballs

With a little over 6 weeks now until Christmas it is time to start thinking about gifts that you can give to someone who likes football! In a series of blog posts leading up to Christmas we will try to highlight to you things that might be of interest to either give to someone else, or to ask for yourself from your friends and family!

We’ll start the series of posts off with something which you may not think about, but is a cheap and useful present - a football. Whether you are buying this for a kid to play with in the garden (not in the house!), or for an adult to use in the park or in a game, a football is something that is rather vital to the game! People can never own enough footballs, they always need replacing after losing one into a neighbours garden or field, or if the dog has got to it and ruined it!

And in these credit crunch days, JustSocca are currently offering a great deal where you can get a Mitre Pro Trainer football for just £6.99 - cheap enough to fit in someones stocking (if it fits!). Down from a SSP of £12.99, you can get yourself a bargain.

These mitre pro trainer footballs are, as the name suggests, perfect for training situations amongst other uses, being based on the highly successful Mitre Calcio football model. It is good on either grass or astroturf, so it is a football that can be used anywhere, anytime.

If you are after a bunch of footballs, maybe for presents for your whole team or your just know a lot of footballers there is also a multi-buy deal available on the Mitre Pro Trainer whereby if you order 10 you can get them for £5.99 each.

Shin Pads

Shin pads are a vital accessory for any footballer whether you play park football, professional football or just in a five-a-side league. Quite simply, if you play football you need a good set of shin pads to help keep yourself safe.

From the cheapest right up to the most expensive all the options are shown so you can check out which suits you best and make sure you get the best price as well.

With shin pads like the Total 90 EXP at the top of the tree you can see how customisable shin pads are in 2008, and they fit to your requirements exactly. Ok, to those ones mentioned aren’t particularly cheap at a touch under 40 quid, but then they will last a long time and how considering how important they are to keep you safe it is well worth the investment.
