Fantasy Premier League

I’ve played fantasy.premierleague.com for the last three or so years, and last year I think I finally ‘got’ it! I finished well inside the top 5k (out of over 1mil I think) which I like to think is a good achievement, and I hope to repeat it again this year! My basic theory is to keep well on top of people looking at the start of good form, looking at fixtures and making use of the one weekly transfer without using more (and losing points).
I’ve had a slow-ish start to the season as players I started with didn’t deliver (Downing, Bentley, Shorey), but things are slowly falling into place and I’m starting to look better! The current dilemma is whether to bring in Ronaldo - of which the answer is “of course”, but how to finance it! I’ll update in a few weeks and let you know how I’ve done it!
Robinho is a Revelation!

When I first heard that Robinho was being transferred to Man City it all seemed a bit crazy, I mean why would this Brazilian wonderkid want to move from Madrid?! It was always going to be exciting to see how he fitted into the English game, and although it is still early days the signs are that he’s going to do just fine!
A couple of goals early in his club career will do him the world of good (just ask Robbie Keane at Liverpool who can’t buy a goal), and it seems like he is going to do well and entertain us whilst he is here! The proof will be when he has managed an English winter and been on the end of a few crunching challenges, but it seems like Nike Mercurial wearing Robinho is going to be here for a while and we like that!
Football Bootroom’s New Blog

If you visited V1 of FootballBootroom.com things will no doubt look a bit different now! In addition to offering the best prices on football boots and equipment, we’re also going to use the blog section of the new site to keep you informed about new things! Rumours of new boots and the like, along with talking a bit about football itself, the blog will give us an area we can kick off steam as well if something gets up our noses!
We won’t regurgitate news which you can read anywhere like lots of people do, we’ll keep this relevant and hopefully fun!
In particular, I plan on keeping you up to date with my Fantasy Premier League team so you can see how well I am (hopefully) doing! Give us a shout if you have anything you want us to talk about!
