New Adidas Predator Powerswerve Colourways

Hot on the heals of the post yesterday regarding the new Adidas F50.9 Tunit boots, we also have some news today of a couple of new colourways and slight variations of the popular Predator Powerswerve football boots. Again released on the 1st December and currently available for pre-order only, the new colours add some good variation to the predator range in terms of both colour and innovation so there really is something for everyone!

The second are funky indigo/silver/pool colour and are packed with extra SWERVE. There is an additional liquid rubber area on the surface of this model of boot which allows the player to get the best possible swerve on the football when they kick it. Available for pre-order here for £129.99

Adidas Powerswerve Orange

Our favourite (today anyway!), though is a fantasy orange/black pair. The Predator can fade into the background looks wise when worn in the traditional colours, so when they stand out like they do in the new colourway we really like it! This limited edition pair will be highly sought after and not available everywhere, so make sure you get your hands on them now! Available for pre-order here for £129.99

Of course, being worn by a host of international players such as Gerrard, Berbatov and Beckham and many more you can be sure that you are buying quality boots!

Pre-order the new Adidas Predator Powerswerve colourways today to ensure you get yours on release day from Just Socca, as always available in hard and soft ground models.

New Adidas F50.9 Tunit Football Boots

Released on the 1st December 2008, the Adidas F50.9 Tunit football boots are the latest in the line of Adidas Tunit boots. They take the successful parts of the previous version, the F50.8 and update them in line with the requirements of the footballer for 2009.

Adidas F50.9 TunitAs such, they are even lighter meaning these are the boots if you want the greatest amount of speed from your football boots. They also have a new lace cover which has a unique adidot grip texture to it which allows both power and control on the ball whilst keeping the same waterproof qualities of the previous boots.

As always with the Adidas Tunit boots, the F50.9 allows you to choose your favoured stud layout with the unique tunit sole, and the boots are provided with the various studs you need for soft, firm and hard ground if you buy them with the comfort pack (which is included when you use the links below to buy). The previous sock liners can also be used, so if you have your own personalised one for your feet you can drop it straight into the new boots!

Football Bootroom Updates

If you are returning to the site after visiting over the past couple of weeks you will see a few tweaks here and there as the site continues to evolve. We’ve tried to clean up the price comparison pages such as those for the Nike Mercurial Vapor, and we will continue to look at ways of streamlining the page so you only see what you want.

We have also this weekend added a lot more pages for all the various football boot models available. As we have added a lot of pages, there is still some content about the various boots to be added in, but you can now compare prices on football boots such as Umbro Valor or the classic Adidas Copa Mundial.

Hopefully you like how things are looking, as always please get in touch if you can think of something else which will be useful!

Astroturf Boots Sale

Now is currently a cracking time to get your hands on a decent pair of astroturf boots, as Kitbag are currently running a sale where there is up to 40% off. This means you can get a pair of Adidas Telstar boots for £32, or something like Nike’s Stream for £48 down from £60.

However, nothing quite beats the deal available for a pair of Puma King Astro boots - Kitbag are selling them for £48 which is a good price in itself, but not as good as SportsShoes who are selling them for the cheap cheap price of £38.39 here! Make sure you act fast though as they are quickly running low on the stock of popular sizes (they’ve already run out of my size annoyingly or I’d have been right in there!

Fantasy Premier League

I’ve played fantasy.premierleague.com for the last three or so years, and last year I think I finally ‘got’ it! I finished well inside the top 5k (out of over 1mil I think) which I like to think is a good achievement, and I hope to repeat it again this year! My basic theory is to keep well on top of people looking at the start of good form, looking at fixtures and making use of the one weekly transfer without using more (and losing points).

I’ve had a slow-ish start to the season as players I started with didn’t deliver (Downing, Bentley, Shorey), but things are slowly falling into place and I’m starting to look better! The current dilemma is whether to bring in Ronaldo - of which the answer is “of course”, but how to finance it! I’ll update in a few weeks and let you know how I’ve done it!
